 We begin
by flying to Islamabad via London, thereafter we
continue to fly to Skardu. From here it takes one
day by truck/jeep to the stone age village of
Askole at 3 000m above sea level.

Basecamp
We will be bringing along 1.5 tons
of equipement which is carried in by local carriers to
the basecamp at 5 200m. We are counting on arriving to
the basecamp June 21st. When the equipement is in place
the carriers will return, to later return 7 weeks later.
When
the basecamp is built we will begin
acclimatisation, so the body can get used to the
heights. This will occur during practice climbs
of lower peaks in the nearby area, along with
exploration of the mountains northwest wall which
is the path/road we had thought of taking to the
top. During the exploration tours difficult
passages are secured and a couple of higher
basecamps will be set-up.

Attempt
to reach the peak
If health and the forces of weather
are on our side we can make our first attempt for the top
during the last week of July. Since we are
attempting to climb without oxygen or carriers we
anticipate that it will take apx. 5-6 days to reach the
top from the basecamp and back. During the second week of
august it will time to tear down basecamp and head home.
